Arrival by international flight. On arrival at the airport, the tour escort greets the group to begin the journey from Sofia to Venice aboard the long-distance coach. Breakfast at the hotel. Journey to the Rila Monastery (approximately 1.5h drive), a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Rila Mountains showcasing Bulgaria's cultural and natural heritage. Drive towards Skopje, tonight's overnight stop, approximately 3h away. Skopje guided city tour (2 hours): admire the neoclassical buildings and the iconic Stone Bridge, with insights into the city's Ottoman legacy. Includes Kale Fortress, Macedonia Square, the Alexander the Great statue and fountain, Daut Pasha Hammam, the Old Bazaar, the Mother Teresa Memorial House and the old railway station.
