A photo stop at Cologne Cathedral — the twin-spired Gothic masterpiece begun in 1248 and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Drive along the Meuse through Dinant — a dramatic riverside town beneath a limestone citadel and birthplace of Adolphe Sax. Cross into Luxembourg City for the overnight.
Luxembourg — Moret-sur-Loing
A morning walk through Luxembourg's old town and its gorge-spanning fortifications — a UNESCO World Heritage site of towers, casemates, and bridges. Drive west through the French countryside to Moret-sur-Loing, the medieval river town on the Seine that inspired Impressionist painter Alfred Sisley, for the overnight.
