Belgium, Netherlands & Germany
Your Journey
Brussels & Bruges
Arrival and transfer to Brussels. A city orientation covers Grand Place — the UNESCO-listed baroque square surrounded by guild houses — Manneken Pis, and the Atomium. The coach continues to Bruges: medieval canals, the Belfry tower above the Markt, the Groenerei waterway, and the historic almshouses of this UNESCO-listed Flemish city.
Bruges — Ghent — Amsterdam — Zaanse Schans
A morning in Bruges before heading to Ghent — the Graslei harbourfront of guild houses reflected in the Leie River, and the towers of Saint Bavo's Cathedral and Gravensteen Castle. Cross into the Netherlands for Amsterdam and onward to Zaanse Schans: an open-air museum of traditional Dutch windmills, wooden houses, and craft workshops on the Zaan river.
Giethoorn — Cologne
A boating and walking tour through Giethoorn — the car-free Dutch village where canals serve as roads and thatched-roof farmhouses line the waterways. The coach then drives south to Cologne in Germany for the overnight.
Cologne — Dinant — Brussels Airport
A photo stop at Cologne Cathedral — the twin-spired Gothic masterpiece and UNESCO World Heritage site begun in 1248. The route south along the Meuse passes through Dinant — a dramatic riverside town flanked by a citadel cliff and birthplace of the saxophone inventor Adolphe Sax — before returning to Brussels Airport for departure.
