Madrid - Toledo
Your guide meets you at Madrid Airport and transfers to Toledo (1 hour). A panoramic bus tour of Toledo is followed by a walking visit to Zocodover Square, the Damascene workshops on the Street of Commerce, and the former Mosque of Bab Al-Mardum, one of the oldest surviving mosques in the Iberian Peninsula. The group returns to Madrid for the night.
Madrid - Cordoba
After breakfast, the group travels south through La Mancha (4 hours) to Cordoba, the capital of Al-Andalus for over 300 years. The afternoon covers the Great Mosque of Cordoba (Masjid Qurtuba), the Roman Bridge, the Calahorra Tower, and remnants of the medieval Muslim city. The evening visits the interactive Museum of Al-Andalus, featuring scholars such as Ibn Rushd and Maimonides.
